Core Values (1 of 6)

Our communities’ needs are more
important then our own.

Matthew 22:39; 1 Peter 1:8-9

This was the first core value to be written down on paper. Why? Because it is at the center of our heartbeat. Ridgepoint won't be successful in fulfilling our vision of people meeting Jesus unless we are willing to get dirty and truly put our community before ourselves. The people we are wanting to see meet Jesus need to be put before ourselves. My heart as the lead pastor is that when people think of Ridgepoint they think, "oh, yeah that is the church that helped with...." "thats the church that helped my son with...." "they helped .... get their marriage back." I want people to see Ridgepoint as someone meeting a need for the community and not just another church, we have enough of those. We want to be know as the church that will get uncomfortable for a need in our community. Vince Antonucci, pastor of ForeFront Church, tells a story of his congregation removing their shoes in church and leaving them behind to collect shoes for the homeless. Ridgepoint is a church that will put others before our own comforts and needs. I want a church that will do the stupid, idiotic and dumb things God calls us to do...no matter what.
