After weeks and weeks (and weeks) we are now at the point in the life of Ridgepoint to lay it all out of the table and allow people to experience our heartbeat of what God has called us to do. We have journeyed with God as He has developed our hearts for this church. Honestly looking back at all of this, people can't say there isn't a God and that He doesn't care about us. John and I aren't smart enough for our vision to be that simple or our core values to be that dead on.
Thanks for all of you out their family and friends for praying for us and lifting up our vision to God. Please keep praying as we move into the next step in planting Ridgepoint.
We've prayed and meditated long and hard trying to understand who God has called us to be. Looking back at our own spiritual journeys and how God has shaped and molded us has been an awaking to what He has called us to do. We were created for this moment in time to plant this church.
Our core values are what describes us as a body of believes. Why do we put so much emphasis on core values over beliefs statements. Because we know what we believe and other know what we believe as well. That isn't the issue. The issue is people don't know who the church is and what it stands for. They know we believe in one God in three persons, they know we believe Jesus died a sacrificial death to cleanse us from sin and to live eternity in heaven, they know we believe that the Bible is God's Words to us, and they know we believe that when we die we live for eternity. What we believe isn't the issue it is what we value.
Over the next week or so I'm going to break down our core values one by one and give the blogging world a glimpse into our heartbeat. As well as our vision.
As you journey through if God is tugging; tug back and seek His call. It might have nothing to do with being a part of launching Ridgepoint, but He might be tugging on your heart to do something ridiculous for Him; something that will change history. If he is calling you to be apart of Ridgepoint, get in contact with us.
