What a Week!

It seems like I've been going from one thing to another this entire week. Oh, wait. I have. I kept telling myself this week, "I just have to make it to Thursday and I can sleep on the plane." Well, it's now Thursday and I have a laundry list of things I need to do before I leave to the airport. Here are my past, present and future thoughts:

  • Opened at Starbucks on Tuesday. Nobody should ever have to be up at 3:30 for work. It is cruel and unusual punishment. I started at Apple as well. I'm in In-Store training now; so I won't be official until I get back. Which stinks, because I'm ready to be on the floor.
  • Had a great lunch and conversation with a buddy of mine on Tuesday. Unlimited soup and salad at Applebees is the place to get lunch.
  • He a meeting with Pastor Dennis last night with John and Sarah. I feel it went well. We opened lines of communication which is what we needed to do. It was cool to hear Pastor's heart and hear him except ours. We don't get that a lot. It was cool getting it from someone you respect.
  • Also, got to see my old team and students at Arrowhead last night. That was sweet! I really do miss those guys. I need to do a better job keeping up with them. It felt like I haven't seen them in a long while. But things seem to be doing well. They hired a junior high guy to take the ministry to the next level. That is always cool to see. Do me a favor and pray for that ministry and it's leaders. It is never easy for new leadership.
  • I learned something yesterday about myself. I'm called to be a senior pastor. I know it's just as crazy to me. But how I minister really came out yesterday. I don't have a lot of contact with students anymore, but it seems that I'm talking with adults more and more frequently. I always worry about not knowing enough or not knowing what to say to people older then me, but God keeps proving that worry wrong. Thanks God for the wisdom you have entrusted to me and the learning path you have me on.
  • In ten or so hours I will be on a plane to Israel! How crazy is that? I wasn't that excited, but now that the day is finally here. I getting pretty stoked. There are some cool guys going with us; that I look forward to getting to know better.
  • I'm planning on blogging from there. All the hotels have internet so I'll have to see cost and such, but I'll will keep track of my posts and post them when I get back. Planning on taking butts loads of pictures as well. I'll post them on my .Mac account.

Josh,
Good to see you again - it's been a while. I'll be praying for your safety with the TCAA crew headed to Israel. What a cool experience it will be to walk where Christ did! You and Med do me a favor, stay away from Gaza OK?! Have a blessed trip, i'm certain God will reveal His heart to all of you there and humble you with His presence!
