Starbucks Experience

I now have four days under my belt at Starbucks and I'm starting to get the hang of it. Still have two more training modules that I'll complete on Saturday and I'll be a trained Barista (I think that is how you spell that). I've noticed something though. Every time I'm about to make a drink, I think the following...."I have no idea what I'm doing" and then I bring it all together and remember how to make the drink or ask someone for a quick reminder.

It's weird. I've never really done a job where I felt helpless. I've cleaned toilets and done ministry. Two things I'm pretty good at. I still get a chance at Starbucks to clean toilets and to do a different kind of ministry. But this is a job where it doesn't come natural to me. I really have to try to get the job done. Ministry is something I just understand and know how it works. Starbucks and this whole retail world. I'm excited at how God is changing me through this journey. Wish me luck on Saturday. I start at 6 am. Yes that was AM!!

P.S. I have an interview with the Apple Retail Store on Monday. Hopefully I can do both, but I don't know yet what they hours are at Apple.
