Hannah's Prayer

I just started reading I Samuel yesterday in my quite time and was shown something that I've never really noticed before. Hannah, Elkanah's wife, stood before the Lord Almighty and prayed, but it wasn't any prayer, it was a prayer for a son. Verse 13 says Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk...

Have you prayed like that before God. It wasn't a prayer of God please give this to me. It was a a cry. Verse 10 says, In bitterness of soul Hannah wept much and prayed to the Lord. She begged God for a son and made a vow saying if He granted her prayer she would give her son to the Lord. Hannah did conceive a child and she honored her vow and took her son to Eli the priest for the Lord work. She gave her son up to the Lord work. She begged God for a child. God gave her that child and she gave it back. What faith. This child was named Samuel and was called to be a prophet and God called Saul and David to become king through Samuel.

God's plans are bigger then we could ever imagine and perfect in nature. He tells us to trust Him. They everything has a perfect place and time. Hannah trusted God and gave her son. I want faith like that. That I'm willing to give it all, even a son, for His kingdom to grow.

Hannah years later did give birth to three sons and two daughters. Check out her prayer here
(I Samuel 2:1-11).

Here is my question: how do we trust like that?
