Two Great Apps

1

These are just that good. Both written in Adobe AIR. Phil recommended one and found the other. I'm running them both on desktops and like the flow and design. Pretty stoked about Action Methods being online from Behance. I've used Behance products for a good amount of time now and now that they have moved online, I can't wait to get my hands dirty:

Action Method Online TweetDeck

Action Method Online (AMO):
There are too many ideas in the world, and not enough action. Without organization and productivity, brilliant ideas never happen. Action Method Online is a radically different approach to productivity, designed to simplify project management and life. All of life can be divided into "projects" - the categories we use in our minds to separate and make sense of what we need to accomplish (e.g. "the party I'm planning," "client X," "event Y," "finances"). The Action Method helps you manage your projects starting with the most basic elements - always with an emphasis on action.

TweetDeck:

TweetDeck enables users to split their main feed (All Tweets) into topic or group specific columns allowing a broader overview of tweets. To do this All Tweets are saved to a local database. The far left column will always contain All Tweets. The GROUP, SEARCH and REPLIES buttons then allow the user to make up additional columns populated from the database. Once created these additional columns will automatically update allowing the user to keep track of a twitter threads far easier.

I'm Not Happy

Rumor sites are all buzzing right now with the "notebook" media event at Apple tomorrow. Some photos were leaked tonight; here is one of them:

Let me tell you everything that is wrong with this computer and these rumors: black plastic keyboard (seriously Apple, nobody wants that, we didn't like it on the Air), ports, screen (I might be able to get over that, the more a look at it, the more I start to be okay with it) and rumors of no 17" or MacBook update. All I'm saying, I'm going to be disappointed if they don't refresh the MacBooks. I'm hoping for a shock moment, where I stand back and say WOW!

iTunes Agreement

Next time you agree to a software user agreement, make sure and read the fine print.

You also agree that you will not use these products prohibited by United States law, including, without limitation, the development, design, manufacture or production of missiles, or nuclear, chemical or biological weapons.

1Password

Great utility for the Mac. Keeps all your personal information, credit cards, address, logins in one place. I don't know what would do with out it. One downside: you forget your passwords. If you aren't near your phone (since they have an iPhone App) or your computer you're tough out of luck in remembering the password.

Big Day at Work

Apple had it's "Let's Rock" keynote today and release some new products, but is always a huge thing in Apple-land. New nanos, classics, touches, and shuffles. Cheaper and beautiful. New features for great products. iTunes 8 and iPhone 2.1. All in all a good keynote. But this is what caught my attention and got me excited!

NBC back in iTunes. That means my beloved The Office is back on my computer and I don't have to try and watch the shows on the horribly designed site over at nbc.com. More pictures from keynote:

Catch the Keynote by Jobs here.

Crazy Ones

Great commercial from back in the day from Apple. Are you a crazy one? Are you ready to change the world.

Got an iPhone?

3

With the release of the iPhone 3G and more importantly iPhone 2.0 software and the Apps Store. Your phone is now unstoppable. I've been on the Apps Store for the last couple of days and I'm absolutely loving the applications that are being offered. Developers are also reporting that Apple is allowing more developers into the iPhone Development Program.

Great App you NEED to install on your iPhone!! YouVersion.com (aka LifeChurch.tv) has created a Bible App that can't be beat! Install it now! It's FREE! As the Bible should be. They have all the Versions of Scripture that are found on YouVersion and also user add information. It's now in the TOP 50. App is called Bible and the icon says "Holy Bible." Check it out.

Do I have to say anything else?

Are You A Fan?

I'm not a fan of American Idol, but we were watching it in Israel and this plug came from Ryan Seacrest (I can only imagine the GoogleAds I'm going to get from this post).

Movie Rentals now available on iTunes!

1

iTunes movie rentals. Now playing everywhere! They have ALL of the top studios provided movies. How sweet is that? Movies from the iTunes Store are running $3.99 for new releases and $2.99 for library titles. So sit back and enjoy the show on your computer, or transfer the movies to their iPod or iPhone!

When you rent a movie you will have 30 days to start watching it. Once you hit play, you will have 24 hours to finish it - and can play it as many times as they want within that timeframe. Rentals will disappear once they expire, so they won't take up storage space on your hard drive.

Now if I only had money to test it out...stink.

Renewed Vision Write Up

MacRumors did a write up on Renewed Vision and their products, ProPresenter and ProVideoPlayer. How sweet is it when the church is the inovative ones bringing new technologies to the market? If you haven't seen Renewed Vision's products, they are wroth checking out over at there website: renewedvision.com.

The youth building at Arrowhead was going to use it's ProVideoPlayer technology to create a panoramic screen across the entire stage which would be an amazing sight to see. I would love to this this in action.
