With working two jobs, time is at a premium. And I just don't have enough time to dedicate to Ridge Point stuff. Not having to work at Apple or Starbucks today and having the whole day to work on Ridge Point was a nice change of pace. After a couple hours at the new Starbucks reading and now at Paradise Bakery for a couple more hours. I think I got a lot accomplished, but I just don't have this freedom to that often and I want to change that.
I've been at Starbucks and Apple for a reason and I've learned a lot about people as well as customer service that applies very well to the church. But I think it's time to move on. I'm looking for a 9-5 job with weekends off. I'll post my resume later tonight, when I get home, but if you know of any jobs please let me know. An interim ministry job would be very cool. I'm open to anything though. I guess I shouldn't say anything; that wouldn't be true.
[side note] I'm in a back corner at Paradise and have been here for three or four hours. I couldn't even count how many people have walked all the way back here looking for the bathroom with no avail. Ministry Wisdom: Make sure when new guests attend your church they can find their way around without having to ask. Make it very obvious. And when they do asked somebody where something is (i.e. the children's classes) walk them to their destination. Don't just say down the hall. Say a lot about your church if you put a priority there. [end side note]Not looking in retail. I've had enough of that for a lifetime, but would be open to a lot. Have an opening at your place of business or at a church in need of a graphic designer? Throw my name in the hat.
